Ramp Agent killed at Philadelphia (PHL).

A ramp agent at Philadelphia International Airport was killed yesterday. It happened around 4 p.m. This US Airways ramp agent was driving his tug (pushback/baggage carts) around when he flipped it. He was then taken to the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he died soon after.

It’s really sad to see a story like this to pop-up. As a frequent flier out of Philadelphia International, I can say that the US Airways ramp agents certainly have a style that you will not forget. This is an unfortunate accident and I send kindest regards to his family and friends. Not many details have been unveiled, so it’s wrong to assume (like many) that he was driving too fast, but I’m curious to see what the cause of the accident was.
