Simple Ways to Stop Stress When Traveling

Traveling is fun but it can take a toll on your body. Contrary to popular belief, going somewhere doesn’t always mean you’ll be lying under a palm tree on the beach sipping a dry martini. The stress of traveling caused by a hectic schedule, delayed flights, air sickness and culture shock can be both physically and mentally exhausting. To avoid this, here are some practical tips so you can relax on your next trip:

Make your journey easy by traveling light. Resist the temptation to bring everything. Remember that traveling is getting away from it all so avoid bringing anything that reminds you of home. That way, you don’t have to carry heavy luggage or risk losing something at the airport.

Make a list of things to do. It’s easy to waste time and tire yourself when traveling, especially if you don’t have a guide. You might end up in the wrong places and miss the extraordinary sights of the places you’re visiting. To stay focused, do a little online research on the places you’re going. Make a list of what to see, where to go and how to get there. This will help you save time, energy and money.

Don’t see the world in a day. Your to-do list should be a quick reference guide not something that you’re obligated to do. Choose what to do carefully and leave room for spontaneity, which is what makes traveling fun. If you cram everything in a day just to tick off items in your to-do list, you’ll end up dead tired or sick. The whole point of traveling is to relax and not to torture yourself by creating room for stress.

Follow routines. In your excitement to go to different places, you may skip meals or forget to rest. No matter were you are, stick to the routines you follow at home so you won’t feel disoriented. Eat and sleep at the same time. Take time to slow down and know your limits. Traveling is an adventure but don’t let it wear you down by skipping your routines.…

Traveling With Your Pet – Things To Know

Traveling With Your Pet – Things To Know

In recent years, more and more people have chosen to bring their pet with them when they travel. Many hotels now offer pet-friendly rooms, dog food on the hotel menu, and even massages and other more luxurious amenities. However, in spite of all of these new accommodations, it can still be difficult to get your pet to and from your destination, especially if you will be required to fly.

When you fly with your pet, there will always be some cost involved. The cost will vary based on whether you fly with your pet under your seat or in the cargo hold. In addition, prices for flying with pets have been recently raised by all major carriers. In fact, it now costs more to fly with a pet than it does to have a child fly alone. Flying with a pet can cost as much as $500 for a round trip ticket.

Understanding the costs involved in flying with your pet is important, but it is equally important to be aware of the safety issues associated with putting your pet on an airplane. It is possible for your pet to be lost, injured, or even die while in transit. In 2010, 39 animals passed away while on commercial planes. This number has gone up considerably since 2009. Since hundreds of thousands of pets are flown by airlines each year, this isn’t an extremely large percentage. However, pets are exposed to significant dangers while on airplanes, such as difficulty breathing at high altitudes and extremely high or low temperatures.

Fortunately, some airlines now have climate-controlled holding areas for pets to prevent them from being exposed to extreme temperatures. In addition, some airlines even have frequent flier programs that apply to pets. Even with the new pet-friendly accommodations, can still be dangerous and sometimes frustrating to fly with your pet. However, there are a few things you can do to simplify the process and make it as smooth as possible.

1. Make sure you are using the right carrier.

Depending on your specific flight, regulations governing the maximum size of your pet’s carrier will be different. For this reason, you should contact the airline directly once your reservation has been made to determine what the specific rule is for your flight. Your pet must be able to lie down, turn around, and stand up comfortably in whatever carrier you use.

2. Book your flight well in advance.

All airlines have a limit to the number of pets they will permit in the cabin, so make sure you book your flight early.

3. Prepare your pet for the trip.

Take the time to get your pet used to the carrier by putting your pet inside and placing it on the floor of your car. That way, your pet will be used to the vibration he will be experiencing on the plane. You can also use lavender oil to calm your pet by helping him associate the scent with routine activities. Do this by putting a few drops of the oil on your hands before feeding and walks and allow him to pick up the scent. This will cause your dog to have a positive association with the scent. Then, you can put some of the scent in the carrier to so he will relax on the plane. You can also tire your pet out with a long walk prior to the flight so he will be more likely to relax and fall asleep.…

Disney World Parks – Experience it All at Disney

Disney World Parks – Experience it All at Disney

When thinking about visiting the Disney world parks, you will want to know all that there is to know about what to do, what to see, and where all you can visit when going to the parks. Disney has a lot more then just the 4 main theme parks, however most people tend to miss out on everything else that there is to do and see at Disney, because they just do not realize how much other stuff there is to do that is worth seeing.

For example, there are 2 water parks inside of Disney as well that you can go to. You’ve got Blizzard Beach, and Typhoon Lagoon. I don’t really know what makes one better from the other, they both have water slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river. I guess it’s a “pick your poison” type thing, but they are both good and worth checking out.

Also, there is another great area set up like a downtown area. Its curiously called Downtown Disney, and here you will find various shops, restaurants, and activities. There is an indoor interactive theme park here called Disney Quest, which is very cool and I highly recommend that you do not miss out on this awesome park. They have various virtual rides that you can check out, as well as video games that you can play. A lot of people miss out on this, and I can kind of see why, seeing as how it is hidden inside of downtown Disney, but it is a very cool place that should be included in every vacation to Disney. It’s a great place to go on a rainy day when the parks are wet.

So when it comes to the Disney world parks, you will want to include some of this other stuff in your trip. Sure, you could settle for just going to the 4 theme parks, but then you are pretty much missing out on over half of the other cool things there are to Disney, and everything at Disney is worth seeing and experiencing.…
