Mt Olympus Resort in Wisconsin Dells
The Mt Olympus Resort attempts to combine your entire vacation experience into one location. There’s both an indoor and outdoor water park, as well as an indoor and outdoor theme park. Not everyone is comfortable with the cost of these attractions, but the free admission that comes with the accommodations can make it more affordable.
While not the biggest water park in the Dells, Mt Olympus does offer a good time for your dollar. There are a number of water slides both inside and out, two large wave pools, a number of lazy rivers, two large whirlpools, and several interactive kids areas. The indoor water park is connected directly to the hotel, so it is great both for kids who want a trip down the water slides and parents who want to relax in the over-sized hot tubs at the end of the day.
The theme park section of the park has a predominantly carnival feel to it, although the four large wooden roller coasters make it worth the visit. The five extensive go-kart tracks, however, are what most guests come for. The karts vary in length and speed and go through a fairly rich landscape. The Poseidon track actually goes under the water through a series of tunnels, an experience seldom seen in go-kart tracks. The indoor attractions include a small coaster, bumper cars, spinning tea cups.
Mt Olympus is a fun, all-in-one vacation stop for your family. There is plenty to do on the grounds, but if you want to explore the greater Dells area, the Dells’ many attractions are just a short walk away.
